In The Face Labyrinth
Drawings made in a unique technique that I was perfecting for the past few year. The main subject is the line itself and its aesthetic impression. With that line I create shapes that looking from afar make clear and recognizable woman’s face but seen up close become abstractions. The choice of woman’s face as a motif for exploration of lines was most challenging both in technical and aesthetic sense. Furthermore, by looking at a drawing of a face done in such a manner (with details neglected in favor of a whole) one can ask a question why we find one face pretty or at least prettier than another. Where does the beauty reside, and and in this point in time does it realy matter anymore?
